Hand-knotted Oriental rug in wool, very fine, with a large medallion in the middle and around three floral borders. On a red, beige and blue background. Imported in the ’80s. Sold with its certificate of authenticity. The rug is professionally cleaned. Can be collected on site. SIRJAN: In the South-East of Iran, around the city of Kerman, lives the Afsar tribe. Their rugs are considered the best examples of the art of nomadic weaving. Their primitive designs in geometric figures and often in blue and red are unique. Afshār rugs are also famous in the market with the name Sīrjān. The city of Sīrjān is a place of collection for Afshār rugs and is located in the South-West of the Kerman region
