YAMOUT Russia 152 x 100 cm, Hand-knotted Oriental rug in wool, without medallion, on a red and beige background and around four borders. Sold with its certificate of authenticity, in very good condition. The rug is professionally cleaned. Can be collected on site. YAMOUT (Yomut or Yomud, Yomouth): Hand-knotted rugs made by the Turkmen tribe of Yomouts who live east of the Caspian Sea and in north-eastern Iran. The typical colours of these rugs are a certain shade of reddish brown, as well as yellow, which is also often used. Utilitarian items, such as saddlebags, tent covers, camel ornaments, etc., are common products.
