Hand-woven wool floral Aubusson, with a central medallion, around a border. Sold with its certificate of authenticity. AUBUSSON: the weaving work and the quality of the material used for weaving are exactly the same as the original. Quality production and experience of the craft have continued to such an extent that even experts sometimes find it difficult to distinguish some of these new tapestries from the old Aubusson tapestries of the late 19th century. Nonetheless, the general public now has access to these products and can have Aubusson-style rugs and tapestries in their homes with the same look and workmanship as antique Aubusson rugs, which were once considered unaffordable.
